Nutcake Recipe
(makes one cake)

3 cups sugar
1lb (4 sticks) butter or margarine
8 eggs
½ pint whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups plain flour
2 cups self rising flour
1 ½ qt chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts or a combination)

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Grease and flour large bundt pan.

Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy, add vanilla and whipping cream. 
Add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Sift flours together 
and add to mixture a little at a time, mixing well. Pour into pan and bake @ 250 
for 2 hours, begin checking for doneness at one hour forty-five minutes.
