Trip to Wildlife World Zoo today! Took some Photos!

In the morning, I face East as I drive to work, staring the dawn in the eye and struggling
to convince my body and my mind that it is time to be alert and active when all I really want
to do is crawl back into bed and sleep for a few more hours. Most days, it is hard on the eyes
as I follow the traffic into town, just another sheep, while listening to the news.
This morning as I drove, I stared into a bank of black clouds on the eastern horizon, the trailing remnants of storms that blew through without leaving much in the way of precipitation behind, though they had at last driven the 100+ degree temps from the valley, hopefully for the season. The sun was struggling to rise above their darkness and it lit the edges of the clouds to brilliant golden flame.
Oddly, the clouds were even and flat except where they arched to hide the sun and as I looked along the even bank to the south, there rose one cloudy figure to break the barren landscape: a rabbit, rising on its haunches, ears perked to look across the golden landscape to face the day. He looked eager and excited, bold as he rose, as if challenging a hawk to dare swoop for a quick lunch. Here was a new day and he was facing it head on.
This morning, I had no trouble waking and being fresh and ready for my day.
